Our reality is influenced by new channels of digital communication; information and knowledge are dispensed in the absence of control, that at the same time have and effect on public opinión. Who rules the truth?
With the aim of questioning the post-truth and lack of information, we introduce a device that generates fake news. The device recreates a gambling machine that ironically shows the creation of fake news directly connected to five stereotypes user profiles.
After selecting a user profile through a button, the user will be able to start up a handle to produce a random fake new destined specifically to the selected user profile.
The device, with the name of “Fake News Generator”, was created so as to raise awareness to the users, as well as to show the society’s activity. Our goal will be always fulfilled each time a user starts the handle up and immediately he or she questions the truthfulness of each and every news she or he receives.
